Return of the Storm Chasers

What a day!  Sundays are usually like that, a whirlwind of activity and moving about through different events.  "Whirlwind" is obviously a reference to our new series that started this morning, one called "Storm Chasers."  We did this last in 2014, and it returned today with a brand new set, something we haven't seen in a while.  We've had snow on this set for literally seventeen or eighteen months now, and how great it was to not have it anymore.  Literally, we had snow on there in 2019 when we started our "All Aboard" series, and then did "Northern Lights" right after that, and then the worldwide pandemic showed up and sort of changed everything.  So today we left all that, and it felt great to start a fresh new series.

It went well.  We introduced new characters, a team of storm chasers ready to share some laughs and lessons, and the skit went really well.  The message and videos did too, including a new animation Josh created, an ongoing series featuring a team of storm chasing cats.  We had our new booklets today, and there was just a lot of energy to the morning.

I was on the treadmill, walking through Six Flags today for about thirty-five minutes.  Spaghetti was ready when I stepped off.  I've been doing at least a half-hour each day, although I think next week that's going to get pushed to 45 minutes.  It should be good though - I'm already feeling better.

We went to FC Youth tonight, and that went well too, starting out with small groups, and then going on from there to a message in the service together.  We stayed there a good bit, as Madison was able to stay until pretty late, just hanging out afterwards.

We had enough time to watch a few older episodes of "Clone Wars," a few that serve as a prep to the upcoming new Star Wars series that will premiere in a few days.  They feature the "Bad Batch" characters," and were actually really good episodes.  Afterwards, our bedtime routine started.  Hide-and-seek has been a little limited lately because of my condition, but that's starting to improve again, and so are the elaborate hiding places.  We read from "Kingdom Keepers 2" tonight, and things seem to be wrapping up, and also seem to be heading towards a cliffhanger, perhaps.  I've read it before, but it's been a while and I've forgotten quite a bit.  It's been fun reading it again, reliving some of the events early on.  No doubt Madison will want to go to book three next.

We said our prayers tonight, and it was off to bed a bit earlier.  Tomorrow is Milestones, and today was a pretty long day.  But a good one!
