Last Live to Give

Maddie had a nice time this afternoon with her final Live to Give meeting after school.  You can see the eighth graders assembled here, and it's quite a group considering six months ago there were just two of them.  It's a good group of students!  Maddie did a great job recruiting.  There were gifts for the eighth graders, including a really nice tumbler, and of course everyone had cake.  It was sweet, and it was emotional too.  She was talking all about it when I picked her up afterwards.  And when she got home, it was time right away for another meeting...

Small group night!  You can see Madison and Camille making the heart shape at the top.  And the facial expressions on some of the girls is hilarious.  These girls have been meeting for over a year now.  Tonight's session was great, with the usual game dedicated to "May rays," and a good message from the Bible.  Always a busy little night - Maddie was in the car for small groups and on her way to piano class.  It turns out she'll be going to the piano recital after all, using a different song altogether.  We'll see how that goes!

I was in meetings all day, and Mom was involved with yard work all day.  I'll have to share pictures, but there's a nice little garden around a tree in the back yard, and things are looking better and better one little bit at a time.

We continued with our television show tonight, one episode only, and then some reading before bed, and then prayers.  It was a good day today, and a full one.  I can't believe we're down to just a few more days of school left!
