Arbor

We put up Mom's arbor today in the backyard, and it looks very nice there.  The ground was pretty uneven, so Mom and I had to work on digging the appropriate size holes, using a level and spending a good deal of time adjusting each side so that it looked just right.  It's not completely level, but the ground is so angled at that point that it actually appears more level than it really is.  Anyway, it looked great there, but we decided that it needed much more of course.  And that was always the vision, so I went out and got a whole lot of bags of mulch, and Mom planted some of the rose bushes nearby, the idea being that they'll be climbing up the side of the arbor some day.  The overall dream is that this will be a path around the side of the house, one that will lead to the garden and to the fire pit we envision having down at the back of the yard.  That'll be the next big project, although there is still some to do with the arbor area.

Our blueberries are really coming along, by the way.  I got some netting because I have to cover the bushes, as the branches are hanging so low with the weight of the berries.  Birds and everyone will really want a piece of that action!

Madison was back with Team Edge today, as it is every two weeks.  It's an hour and a half, and Maddie enjoyed today's team training quite a bit.  But we knew that before she even got there.  Today they were focusing on weapons training, and being more synchronized.  There were exercises just to keep in shape, of course, and there were times where the group just sat together on the floor mat, talking and sharing.

The rest of the day Maddie spent relaxing, mostly dong some things on her phone.  We were watching "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." tonight, and there was some time sitting together, learning our lines for tomorrow's skit.  We're going to both be on stage tomorrow for KidPak, and it should be fun.  We're reading from "Kingdom Keepers III" tonight, which is still pretty fun.  The Keepers are in EPCOT dealing with jesters and crash test dummies.  Good times!

We said our prayers and got to bed earlier tonight.  Tomorrow is going to be a HUGE day.
