Mom's Birthday

It was Mommy's birthday today, and it was a super busy birthday.  We had such a nice moment tonight though, one where all four of us were sitting on the back deck.  We put a candle into a gluten-free cake that we purchased, and we came out singing "Happy Birthday" to Mom, and then we gave her some birthday gifts that we had picked up along the way.  One thing was a vast fairy village, an pretty nice place out there in our garden.  We'll spend time together putting it out tomorrow on Mother's Day.  There were other gifts too, some flowers and plants to put in the garden.  It was nice sitting out there together on the back deck, in absolutely perfect weather.

Earlier in the day, we were out and about, our first stop being part of a graduation parade down in Braselton.  We met in a community, a whole bunch of us in cars, and we all lined up and drove by a friend of Madison's house, one by one.  It was sweet - a lot of people showed up, honking horns, balloons hanging out the cars, and homemade signs saying "CONGRATULATIONS!"  Madison made one of those for Hannah, and was shouting out to her.  They hugged as we pulled up to the house, and then we were on our way to do some shopping for Mom.  Nana got a few items, which we brought home afterwards and had our little mini-party on the back deck.

Madison went over to FCY tonight because there were games and a dodgeball tournament that was a lot of fun for everyone.  I dropped Maddie off and got back a little early to catch some of the action.  She had a great time, and of course there were all the dodgeball war stories afterwards.

We've got a few more vegetables in the garden as of today, and a nice little garden around a tree in the back yard.  Ye-Ye visited with a birthday gift as well, another flower to put in the garden.  It was a nice birthday, especially the quiet time on the back deck.

Closing out the day, we were back with "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as well as my exercise routine on the treadmill.  Tonight's walk was around Central Park in New York.  There are some other trails through the park that have POV videos of, and I'll have to try those eventually too.

We prayed tonight, and we read.  Mom had a good day today, and she'll have a good one tomorrow for Mother's Day.
