Stack the States

Lots of work today, and a clean-up day for Madison too.  There was a lot of housecleaning going on, and Madison was good to take care of her playroom, and her bedroom too.  When she's not cleaning, she was drawing or on her hand-held device watching something or playing a game like this one:

She has this game, and the second one as well.  It tests her knowledge of the names of states, along with a challenge to find their state capitals as well.  Daddy doesn't know all the capitals, but can do all the states pretty easy.  And thanks to this game, Madison can do all the states pretty well too.  These are the sort of games you can get behind - ones that mix fun with learning.  So, here's a question:  which state is that at the bottom right - Colorado or Wyoming?  And how is tiny New Jersey holding up the entire state of Montana there?

Anyway, it was Saturday.  Daddy was at work, writing and preparing, and filming too.  The upcoming Star Wars series is going to be pretty fun, but we have a lot of work still to do.  But the day started out well, because it started out... with pancakes.  We had such a great pancake breakfast this morning.  I would venture to say it was better than your pancake breakfast, it was that good.  I don't mean to brag, but Mommy is a wonderful cook.  She flips those pancakes, and we're all at the table, waiting in anticipation!

We concluded the "Star Wars" trilogy tonight with "Return of the Jedi," which features a lot of Ewoks, which I don't really have a problem with.  Later on, in fact, the three of us are going to watch that second Ewok movie, just to get into the theme of things upcoming.  There are a lot of Star Wars things to watch, from Clone Wars to Rebels to the seven movies, plus two Ewok movies, and countless parodies.  It's going to be fun, and we'll no doubt prove our geekhood!
