Envisioning Vision

It was a long Saturday, one that started early with the Divine Conference.  We're all pretty wiped out from that, but one bright spot about this weekend was the arrival of a new costume in the mail, one I was fairly anxious to try on just to see if it fit.

Maddie is going to be Wanda, and I'll be Vision.  Not that we had that as a plan to be a duo, but it did work out that way.  We'll have to do a few pictures when we're wearing those costumes next month.  It'll be fun!

It rained today, but the rain was timed in such a way that it didn't impact us so much.  One great thing about today's trip to the church was that I was able to get the large windmill we had on stage during our "Storm Chasers" series, and bring it home to the back yard.  Currently, all nine feet of it or so is standing up in the back yard.  We'll get it in a more permanent placement soon enough, but the back yard will be shaping up soon enough with the fire pit that we've got the pieces of as well.

Tonight we watched a few October themed movies.  Maddie, Mom and I are huge fans of "The Corpse Bride," and just have to watch that one each year.  We also saw "Box Trolls," which Mom and I really like as well.  The stop-motion animation is such a wonderful thing to watch and appreciate.  They could do so much with computer generated animation, but instead, they use these maquettes, carefully repositioning them over and over again for each shot until they create motion.  In the car, we were listening to the soundtrack of "The Corpse Bride," which of course has a piano solo that Maddie played last year at her piano recital.

It was a quiet day, and one somewhat to recover.  I'm super tired from the conference, and we've got one more day tomorrow to go through.  But it's been good.  We read tonight from Kingdom Keepers, and then said our prayers.  A very short time later, we were all fast asleep.
