The Ninth

Our new hummingbird is here, perched on a branch in exactly the same spot, or sometimes even on the framework of the canopy on the back deck.  I can see him sitting there as I type.  Today we were taking a few pictures of the hummingbirds again.  Mom has this new mix that she replaces every few days, although the one hummingbird sits at a sentry location to make sure that it's not shared with everyone.  Even though there's certainly enough for quite a few other birds.  Anyway, we sit out here on the back deck and just enjoy the nicer weather, even if it is raining from time to time.  The birds fly in with this characteristic thrum sound of quickly flapping wings.  It's been a nice little pastime of ours at dusk.  A little therapeutic!

We had taekwondo tonight, and that kept us all busy.  Today is an anniversary of Ba-Ba's passing, and it's hard to believe it's been a year.  We didn't need to tell Nana, as every single day she still sits and cries and wishes she was somewhere else.  It isn't as intense as it was a year ago, of course, with her wandering off or imagining people coming to pick her up and take her away.  But it's been very difficult.  We're doing the best we can though.  It's been a very long year.

We read tonight and we prayed, but otherwise, it was an ordinary day amidst a year we've been put into.  Wrapping up, and changing the subject, let's take a look at some more hummingbird pictures, shall we?  Oh, and one more ladybug picture at the end there.
