Daddy was back to work for a bit day, getting things prepared for tomorrow. Madison was at home with Mommy unpacking, playing piano, and watching Mommy work on the calendar for summer. If you have kids, you know how important it is to schedule out any camps you intend to go to, and this year, Madison's summer is just about filled. Of course, it doesn't help that there are only two months off now, with August now the first month of school. I think that Madison will have a total of two weeks that don't have a camp in them this year, although that might change: she's expressed a bit of fatigue at the dancing schedule. She suggested politely that perhaps this year she not be in the upcoming "Nutcracker." We're not going to force her to do this, so if she feels that way, we'll certainly support her. The ballet classes will continue, but she won't be doing all the Saturdays, and of course those long hours each day leading up to the production in December.
But the camps she is going to are numerous. First of all, there are two weeks of Summer Xtreme to go to. First Gainesville's campus event, and then the one at Gwinnett. Last year, she missed the Gwinnett one because of illness, so hopefully she'll be fine this year. At the one in Gwinnett, it'll be her birthday, and she's excited about that again.
The other camp is Art Camp. This year, we've signed Madison up for two weeks of Art Camp, because we're members at Quinlan Art Center now. We got a discount for signing up early, and for being members, and for getting two weeks, so why not? She loves this camp, and is thrilled to be going back again.
The camp that we're really excited about going to is the one in Daytona though. We'll have more on that in a bit, as we see about signing up. Mommy was looking into that today, and it appears as if there are still available spots. That'll be pretty fun for Madison!
Tonight, we watched "Captain America: The First Avenger" with Madison, who was watching it for the first time. She's in full-on Marvel mode now, loving all of these superhero movies we've been watching. They're leading up to the Summer Extreme. Everything here is in fast-paced mode now, leading up to summer. It'll be here before we know it!
