Limo to Chick-Fil-A

This was Madison's first limousine ride, and it was pretty unexpected.  We had our Daddy-Daughter Date Night tonight at Chick-Fil-A, and they had a limousine outside, giving parents and daughters a ride around for a bit, which was a bit of a thrill for Madison.  She looked at the ceiling of the limo and said, "Fancy!"

We had our meal at Chick-Fil-A tonight, our fourth year of doing this now, but each time at a different location.  Tonight, we were back in Gainesville at their new location, and it was set up nicely.  A guy was playing a saxophone - all Disney standards - and of course the cow was walking around greeting everyone.

As always, a waiter walked around taking orders, and things were decorated nicely.  Madison got a pink carnation upon entering, and the menus had their usual questions on there, prompts for girls and their dads to ask various questions of each other for fun answers.  Would you rather be able to fly - or read minds?  Would you rather be able to speak with all the people of the world, or all the animals?  And so on.

It was a nice night.  We had a great time together, enjoying the usual meal with an additional milkshake as well.

Afterwards, we had the fire in the fireplace once more - the temperature is cold outside, and windy too. We watched another Tinkerbell movie, "The Great Fairy Rescue," where we start to see Vidia's turn towards the light side.  These have been fun movies to watch together - we're approaching the halfway point of the Tinkathon though.

Afterwards, it was time for bed.  We continued with "The Coming Storm," although we didn't read much of that because of the lateness of the hour.  Our Bible passage was about Jacob sending gifts on ahead to Essau, because he was pretty terrified of the guy.  Things worked out okay though, didn't they?

Earlier today, we had ballet practice.  Madison found out when her performance dates are for the upcoming production of "Into Grimm's Woods."  It'll be here before we know it.  After that, we were working for a bit, which included going out to find costuming for tomorrow's Super Bowl Sunday service.  We're stepping out of the circus for just one service, and it's all football-related and fun.  We'll have a great time.

It was a busy day today, but we got a lot done there.  It's time for bed now, because we have another big day tomorrow, with more fun and surprises in store.
