Fashionable Choices

Madison has been doing a bit of coloring in lately, using an app on her phone.  Here's one of her latest projects, actually just one of a series.  A friend had drawn out the characters, and she was coming up with the coloring for it.  She's been spending some time relaxing this week, and it's well-earned.  She did well on all her tests last week, and is doing great in school.  It's okay to just chill for a while.  We'd like to be chilling somewhere else on a nice vacation, but hopefully that will come soon enough somewhere else.

She was with me today at work, helping out where she can.  I was getting some things together for the service on Sunday, and trying not to push it too hard.  I tire easily, and the trip to the cardiologist can't come soon enough.

Speaking of which, tonight's taekwondo was quite a workout!  Madison was doing an exhausting class tonight, doing 500 punches to the bag interspersed with running, stretching, kicking, and all kinds of non-stop exercises.  The highlight time involved splits.  Madison and the others were against the wall, doing splits, with weights on their legs.  As the stretching burned, she started laughing at it - her reaction to that sort of discomfort.  It was hilarious!  But her splits are getting super low now, something she is very proud of.

Tonight was tv night when we got back, with all the usual Friday night premieres to watch, including that shocking episode of "Falcon and Winter Soldier."  "The Mighty Ducks" has been a good show too, and tonight was the season finale of "Secrets of Sulphur Springs."  Ugh - what a cliffhanger!  Come on!

We read tonight, and we're on the next book of "Kingdom Keepers" now.  I have eleven hardcover books of that series, several of them actually signed by the author.  It was a good series while it lasted - lots of fun.  We said our prayers tonight afterwards, also reading some rules from the book of Exodus.  It was a decent day, but I'm not feeling any differently, so there's that.  It was something to pray for - an answer to my recent ills.  Fortunately, the rest of the family is well.
