Tonight we went to a birthday party for a friend and co-worker, and I was there with my camera an extra favor and perhaps a gift - to take photos of the event. I wound up taking a lot of photos there, and was happy they all came out pretty good!
And yes, I had Josh take this picture of our family with Mrs. Shobie, who reached a milestone birthday today with plenty of people there to celebrate. It was really sweet. There were gifts, and great food too, plus a lot of people saying nice thing and toasts for our friend Shobie.
This morning at KidPak, we had a script written by Camille while we were on vacation. It was wacky and fun, and as you can see, Maddie was the jedi master on hand to deliver the bottom line. Because this was a mad-lib where kids filled in the words from the audience, Maddie's name was... Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Billy Joe Bob the Hutt. It was that kind of skit! Anyway, it was a solid morning at KidPak as we draw closer to the end of this series.
We spent the time in between party and church eating a bit, some delicious fish that Mom cooked up for lunch. We finished up the building of the treadmill, and it seemed to go easier and better as we wrapped up things. Tomorrow I'll take it for a spin, joining up with the iFit crew.
Tonight we watched "The Corpse Bride" again, because it's October 1st and we're right here with "31 days of October!" We've got enough stuff for 31 Day of October movies and specials, but tonight's is special. Maddie can play "Victor's Solo" on piano still, though probably barely. It's a really nice movie though, with just amazing animation and songs. We enjoyed that, and then that was pretty much our day. Maddie did some precalculus in there, and then we were reading before bed, getting closer to the end of "Wee Free Men." The Nac Mac Feegle just showed up again and they're ready for battle! Can't wait to see what happens next, because there's an evil queen that needs defeating.
We said our prayers, and that was it for this nice day. The weather is warm still, but things will cool down soon. October is here, and we're really ready for fall!
