Kinsey Farms

This afternoon we took a quick break - Mom came down to the basement and said, "Hey, Kinsey Farms has some pumpkins and mums - maybe we can just make a quick trip over there!"  It's literally five minutes from the house, so we jumped in the car and went on over.

Maddie used my camera for some great photography while she was there, snapping some pictures as we walked around.  We were checking out their pumpkins and gourds and just taking in the atmosphere.  Not many people there yet, but there will be soon!  Maddie took all the pictures you see here.

They turned out great!  I love the pumpkin pictures, although this goat seems to be glaring at us.  Better get him some food, I think.  I bought a bag of food for the animals, and it's somewhat of a petting zoo out there.  We went down to see the goats, the donkey, the cows, a horse, and a few pigs too, giving several of them a little snack.

It was a nice getaway.  The rest of our day was spent doing stuff around the house, or in my case, building this treadmill.  Unfortunately, there were a few errors in the instructions, so we haven't gotten a chance to finish the job yet.  We'll get there!

We finished the proofing on the next KidPak book next month, and there was just a lot of unpacking too.  It was a good day today - Maddie was at Stardew Valley, but also helping me in the basement as we assembled this treadmill.  She was hard at work figuring things out with me down there.  She also did some pre-calculus as well.  

Tonight's feature was the Goosebumps movie, the first one, which is a lot of fun.  I just finished "Monster Blood" so it's time for "Monster Blood II" next.  Each year I read about three RL Stine books - about three years ago I picked up some really nice editions in hard cover, so it's been fun opening one of those collections a year to read through.  Tonight's movie mentions "Monster Blood" at one point, and the movie is just a lot of Goosebumps fun.  Hopefully this new televisions series that's coming out soon can match the feel of the movies.  

Anyway, we read tonight, and we said our prayers.  We've got a busy day tomorrow!
