The Haunted Clothes Hamper

I was home and I rounded the corner looking for Maddie.... and what?

Yeah, here was this clothes hamper with a mysterious sheet over it!  Weird!  Also weird that it started ...giggling!

Anyway, we had a normal day today - we're getting close to finishing up Luigi's Mansion 3, just doing a sweep for Boos and looking for lost gems.  It's been creative and fun, and just old-school, the two of us scouring the game for hidden areas and opponents.  The game has been a lot of fun!

Maddie had taekwondo tonight, and meanwhile I was doing a bit of grocery shopping.  I did get a wanted gingerbread house form today, a new one with an Oreo theme to it.  The form is the same standard form, but there are some Oreo ideas to the thing to make it fun.  We'll see!  Really, when it comes down to these things, we just come up with ideas on the spot and have fun with it.  But I love the idea that we've been doing these for so long, as traditional as a Christmas gingerbread house.  We'll post pictures, of course, when we get it done.

Tonight we saw "Hotel Transylvania," which seems to mean we'll be doing part two and then part three soon after.  It's been a decent but full day.  Maddie is doing well in school and enjoying it a bit more than last year.  Mom and I were working on audition material, these mini-scripts that our participants can read on stage as they try out for the various parts.  Meanwhile, the hummingbirds are at war on our back deck, swirling and dive bombing one another, battling for dominance over that one feeder we have there.  We have a few that must be stopping by on their migration route back.  Won't be long before they're flittering off and away.

It was a good day.  Quiet day, but good.  I was in that tremendous car line today, and that's okay.  It gave me time to sit and read for about 50 minutes or so.  I've been checking out "Witches Abroad," another Discworld book.  It's been great so far, and certainly seasonal.  We're in the Discworld a lot lately, even with our nightly reading too.

We said our prayers and were off to bed tonight, quite content with the knowledge that tomorrow we'll get to sleep in!
