The Upside Down World

This is Maddie's drawing.  I'm trying to remember what she was trying to draw here - I think it was a panda?  It looks so primitive, but hold on - there's a reason!  We were drawing these with upside down glasses on, and we had a little upside down party here with a few glasses to try on, and two of us at a time, drawing out things.  It's surprisingly difficult!

You can see here some drawings here by Josh's niece and nephew.  It looks like they're in preschool, but if you think that's bad, look at my simple face that I couldn't even draw out that well:

This is the face of upside down terror!  You should try drawing with these some times.  You'll be amazed at how difficult it is!

Anyway, we had taekwondo tonight, and that was fun.  I got Maddie a new combat weapon because her previous one was battered, bruised and broken.  She's been hitting people so hard for the last four years that the poor thing was broken at the top, just sort of dangling like a secondary part of a deranged nunchuck.  Anyway, I got her a new one, and I know she'll have fun with that the next time they do some combat.

The weather is cooler outside, and that means bringing plants in.  Frost is on the windshields of cars left outside, which wreaks havoc when combined with the brilliant sunrise in the morning.  So many cars are back to driving down the road with drivers' heads sticking out of the side of the car in the cold as they wait for the defrost to kick in.

We had some dental work done today, although not Maddie.  The rest of us went down for a cleaning, or in Mom's case, some more work done than just that.  She's got some issues with acid and that seems to be wearing down the teeth somewhat.  Nana had a cavity, and that needed some work too.

Tonight's movie in our October theme was "Tower of Terror," which Mom had requested earlier.  I actually like this movie - I'm glad we still have that "Old Hollywood" theme to the Tower of Terror down in Florida's Disney park, whereas the one in California now has a different theme altogether.  I know themes change, but that vibe of "The Tower of Terror" is a super fun one.  Maddie still doesn't like the ride though!

We read tonight, and we said our prayers.  Maddie had homework, so she was fairly busy.  We're moving towards the end of the month so quickly here, but we've been doing a lot of things this season too - this weekend should be super fun.
