Lilo at School

It's Homecoming week, and each day the students can dress up this way or that.  One day is "Throwback Thursday" and another has students wearing pink.  Today had a Disney theme, and Maddie couldn't wait to wear her Lilo dress.  It looks great on her!  You'll probably see her wearing it again soon at Edgefest, and yes, I'll probably have to dress up as Stitch.  You'll have to wait to see that one - we're in the early stages of planning, but it seems like it will be fun!

The Braves clinched their fifth National League East title, and wow, it was a remarkable run.  They came from behind at the end and had to beat the New York Mets three games in a row to do it.  Which they did this weekend, and then finally won the entire thing with a victory over the Florida Marlins.  It's been a great series of years to be a Braves fan again.

We've got a lot going on though.  Maddie's still busy at school, and I've got so much writing going on, including material for a new series.  There's a lot to plan and do, with graphics, new messages, and all kinds of plans - including Christmas!  Yes, we're meeting about that.  It's currently planned at seven consecutive productions, and Mom's going to have to do a lot with costumes.  We're getting a camel this year.  I've arranged the donkey and the sheep again, and we're getting our Wise Men back together.  I might be a shepherd again, which was fun.  The bummer of it all is that I'll miss Maddie's Team Edge performance and the Christmas celebration at Edge ATA.  All of that is on the same night.  I'm super bummed about that.

But we've still got a lot of other things going on, and a lot of other things to look forward to.  Right now we've already got tickets to a Christmas play - a kids one, but still something fun.  It's "The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever," and it should be fun to watch at the Holly Theater.  And of course there are all the seasonal things in October before that, all of which we'll get to see and do, depending on the weather of course.  But things have been really nice lately here.

Anyway, we had a quiet night today and we did our reading of course.  And then we said our prayers.  Let's get some sleep.
