Maddie Melinda Mei

Maddie uploaded her face to an phone application today and it's one of those where you can have your face projected on a movie or television character.  So naturally, she went straight to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and chose Melinda May.  Which makes sense, as Maddie's middle name is Mae.  So meet Maddie Melinda Mei!

Maddie had her leadership class tonight, exhibiting some of those Melinda May skills for taekwondo class this evening.  They're starting to use the kamas for this quarter, and those are always fun.  Although... she's been training so hard that she's getting a few bruises!

We got home and we watched "Andor" tonight - it was a fairly pivotal episode, and I'm not sure how many are left.  Usually we have to watch another video afterwards, one pointing out things that we may missed and connecting all the Star Wars things together.  That's about all we had time for tonight though, as Maddie does have homework and of course the regular business of the day - such as eating food.  We were grilling again out on the back deck because why not?  Hot dogs on the grill are always a treat.   Also, Maddie needed time to shower and get cleaned up after a hard session at taewondo.  Got to get to school nice and clean, right?

Today we were filming a big game for KidPak, one where I played the part of... a boulder.  It was pretty funny, as we're in the series, "The Quest," and our contestants were like Indiana Jones on a large board game, desperately trying to outrun a this giant beach ball that was also moving forward with every turn.  Afterwards, I've been deep into "The Magician's Nephew" lately, working on a message for that book first, and then the others that follow.  We're so behind on this writing though... lots of catching up to do there, but it's a pretty busy season.  

No matter what, we're not so busy that we don't have time to read each night, and of course we said our prayers too.  It was a nice day today, and we'll get a good night's rest in order to close out the week tomorrow with another beautiful day.
