My goodness, I've been printing copies of this pumpkin story here for many years now. This month, we're handing these out again in bags - along with candy of course. These usually accompany a fall festival of sorts, although this year things are somewhat different with our plans. This year we just have a Sunday morning service as always, one where we'll had out some candy in bags and so on. No need for costumes at church this year, certainly because it's not the thirty-first.
Look who was at my door tonight as I came upstairs for reading time. Maddie has her reading entourage with her each night, and the gang is always ready for story time. We read tonight before bed as always, and as always we prayed together. Even the Story Time Gang gets in the prayer circle!
We had taekwondo tonight, which was great for Maddie, although she's a bit sore lately. She gets a lot of bruises, and sometimes a lot of them are self-inflicted! But she's having a great time there. While she was sparring, we were out shopping at the grocery store. I keep picking up pumpkins at the grocery store... can't help myself. I can't wait to carve one. Anyway, we picked up some items for the upcoming party, and some other themed things like pumpkin spice Wensleydale cheese or carbonated apple cider. Maddie likes those bottled ciders, as do I of course.
Tonight we continued with our Hotel Transylvania fest, which now includes four movies. We've only seen the fourth movie once, but we'll see it again soon enough. We had a good day today. The Story Time Gang left the room together, and traveled down the hall to Maddie's bedroom where everyone got tucked in... and got to sleep pretty quickly!
