Tonight was Maddie's second Homecoming Dance, and she was quite excited to go again, and once again inviting the girl gang over for some snacks and socializing before heading to the dance itself.
As mentioned earlier, the theme was "When in Rome," so Maddie found herself a nice dress, jewelry and even shoes that went wit the theme. We set the table for snacks with some Roman elements, including a few things leftover from our Roman series that we did a few years ago at KidPak. You can see the pillars and even a laurel there, along with some hummus, pita chips, and finger snacks as well.
They spent some time at the house for a bit, and the weather was just beautiful there on the back deck. Soon though, it was time to head off to the dance itself. We took several pictures of the group, and some of Maddie by herself on the front porch, and after all that, I dropped the girls off at the dance. Maddie brought her cell phone with her, so pretty much all of the pictures you'll see towards the bottom are taken with her phone of this fun night.
We continued our reading tonight, of course, although for not quite as long - it was late, obviously. We said our prayers after that, and yes, soon after that it was time for bed. Long day, and a big, big night!
