Pie Zombies

We were still filming today for our upcoming video, the ongoing story that involves Putnam stealing everyone's candy as he pies us all in the face.  One by one, our staff and volunteers are taken out in ways that parody horror movie cliches, and at the end, the lone survivor is running off as some of us are wandering the halls towards him, our faces covered with cream as we groan out, "Towel.  Can't see.  TOWEL!!!!!"  As an added bonus, our dinosaur is in this video too, also chasing that last victim.  If you are suspecting the bottom line is all about conquering fear, you are correct.  But it's also just a goofy video.  We spent a good part of the day filming that, although I was frantically working on letters, scripting, graphics, and other things.  Mom was working on costuming today, and will need to do that tomorrow too.

We had taekwondo tonight, and a lot of students were there, and Maddie was in the midst of the class, sparring and working in unison with the others.  It reminded me of the trainees in "Mulan" as Li Chang sings, "Let's Get Down to Business."  Mom, Nana and I were there tonight watching, and right afterwards, we went to Chick-Fil-A to grab something to eat.  We haven't been there in some time, but the drive-thru was still very busy.  They were open on the inside, but I guess people are just trained now to do the drive-thru.  Mom was super tired, otherwise, we'd have gone inside ourselves.  That's okay, because we took the food home and ate at the table, and then went off in different directions for about an hour.  Mom took a bath, and then Nana.  I went for a walk on the treadmill, exploring the Red Rocks Amphitheater in a POV walking video as I did.  Maddie started watching a video of the Broadway production of "Newsies," which she's been anxious to see.  She's had the song "Seize the Day" in her head for quite some time, as that's one of the songs they're singing in her theater class.

Afterwards, we were reading "Unforeseen" again, and should be done with it maybe tomorrow night - it's a shorter story.  That leads into book seven, which is another longer one, and also an ending of the seven-book series.  There are three more adventures plus a novella of that afterwards, so we've still got a ways to go on these.  Plus apparently a new book coming out soon enough, so there's that.

We said our prayers and were off to sleep - tomorrow will be another busy day for me.  But we got to sleep in today, and we'll do that again tomorrow somewhat.  We'll still get up early - just not as early as we normally do.  Anyway, it's time for some rest.  Goodnight!
