Just for Kicks

Madison's first night as a brown belt was a fun one tonight, one where she was trying something new, just because she wanted the challenge.  I love hearing stuff like that, but I'm getting ahead of myself.  Daddy was taking pictures tonight, just as something to do for the studio covering both the 'invite a friend' night and also the 'Edge Fit' night next door with a lot of our church friends doing quite a bit of cardiovascular exercise.  You can see Madison here above though, helping Mr. Edge with a demonstration.

And you can see here here with Mr. Tucker, breaking one of the plastic boards.  It was a practice run, before doing the real thing.  Kids were invited here with the lure of getting a chance to break a board, and not just a thin board either.

Of course, they were practicing other things as well, including some jump kicks, which you can see Madison working above, and below as well.

And it was this jump kick that she thought she'd try when attempting to break the board.  You could either do the palm strike or attempt a jump kick, and Madison did the latter.  Was she successful?

Yes she was!  She was very proud of trying something new here, and being successful at it!

This was a fun night tonight, definitely a highlight of the day.  During the school day, Mommy took Nana and Ba-Ba over to Goodwill for some shopping, this all while Madison was studying blood cells and sentence structures.  Daddy was at work, doing a few different things as well.

We joined up tonight for taekwondo, and tacos too.  And after that Madison was doing math homework, as well as an episode of "Resistance."  We've got a ways to go on that one, so we headed upstairs to read some more from "Thrawn Alliances," and from our devotional too.  We prayed, and that was the end of the day, after hide-and-seek and zerberts.  Mommy and Daddy are whizzing through "Big Hero 6" the series, and typing this blog as well.  That sort of takes time!

It was a good day though, and although it rained in the morning, it was still a decent day later on.  It's nice, it's cool, and it's eventually dry.  And that's a good day in my book!
