Madison and Daddy worked on a B2 Super Battle Droid today, and it turned out rather well. Madison said it is a Corona Battle Droid, one that shoots out hand sanitizer and launches toilet paper rolls. This LEGO project took us a while to put together, and had a brief moment of frustration as we had to go back and figure out what piece didn't go where. But in the end, the finished product turned out great. Daddy has had this in a box for many years, along with a few other LEGO projects that you might see in the coming days. Also, you'll notice the smaller Super Battle Droid there to the right, on hand to watch us complete "Big Brother."
We were indoors today. And in fact, that'll probably be the case for a while. This was a shame as the weather was so gorgeous out there. But the pollen was nearly lethal for all of us, and of course the spread of this virus was even worse. So indoors it was. We made good with our time though. Madison also constructed a LEGO cafe area.
You can see here how even at the Cafe, the characters are keeping away from one another (there's a the shop front window between these two). Madison built this today too, so you could say it was a LEGO sort of afternoon. We have a few of these unfinished things we've gotten for Christmas or birthdays over the years, so it was a good day to do this.
It was also a good day to do piano practice. Madison has been working on that, and may attend classes using an online communication service. We'll see which one her teacher uses, and she may do the class virtually. Her teacher has told us she has "symptoms," and we're not sure what that means. So an online class sounds just fine right about now. We'll see how that class turns out as we get closer, but it'll be a unique experience again.
We were doing a good bit of work towards cleaning up the house, and also working towards KidPak a bit as well. Everyone got a bath or a shower, and tonight we finished "Star Wars Resistance." There was some great animation with this series, and some fun characters too. We enjoyed it, and might even watch it again some day, especially a few favorite episodes. But now it's on to watch something new, whatever that might be.
Tonight we were reading again, first from our Napoleon Dynamite devotional and then from "Thrawn: Alliances." Both have been good reads thus far, nice to read together. We were up later tonight, which is odd for a Saturday night because we're usually ready to get up early in the morning. But tomorrow, church is simply turning on the computer by 9am, and we can do all that in pour pajamas!
So our quarantine begins. It's not so strict that Daddy can't go out to get groceries. And we'll probably need to film something new for KidPak next week. We'll get to all that as the time comes, but there's no panic here.
