"The Three Muska-notes"

We had our music recital rehearsal today, and check out these shirts!  Sloan - to the left - got her friends these matching shirts, which each wore for the rehearsal.  Afterwards, we took a quick picture of the three trebles, or three tenors, or as Madison said, "The Three Muska-Notes."

As advertised, Mrs. Pam did in fact take a pie to the face today - but not by Madison.  These girls were quite thoughtful, as they didn't feel like Mrs. Pam should really get a pie in the face.  Either that, or like Madison, they didn't have time to do all the extra practice that it would have taken to get a pie.  All three were just as into the proceedings afterwards though - much laughter there!  It was a good day for Madison, who performed well for the most part.  The long sleeves on her new shirt seemed to actually interfere a bit, but we'll get that straightened out by next week.  Also, she'll be practicing a lot until then.  Can you believe that Thanksgiving break is almost upon us?  In just one week, we have a recital, the first one of the school year.  She'll do well.  Today, she got to reach into the treasure box, and we also got some apples from a generous farmer.  It was a great afternoon for Madison.

Sadly, Daddy was busy for pretty much the rest of the day.  We had play practice once more, and additionally Mr. Lance has shingles, which meant a sudden quarantine at our place in the guest room.  He was just plain sick, and needed to rest someplace nearby.  Hence using our house - this all before Madison got there to the house.  We all had tacos together when we got home - it was Taco Tuesday, after all.  And then, we were back to church, Lance and I.  The play is going well, with much progress being made here or there.  Daddy even wrote a bit for the the sarcastic version of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."  It is sung by the villains - this version might be kind of fun:

(chorus intro)
BOTH:  It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
BLANCHE:  With the stuff we'll be selling
MARV:  And you always yelling...
BLANCHE:  (correcting him) Be of good cheer!
BOTH:  It's the hap-happiest season of all!
MARV:  With these rich folks we're cheating
BLANCHE:  And fun orphan beatings!
BOTH:  At the end of it all, it's the hap-happiest season of all!

(verse)
MARV:  Our lives won't be trashy
BLANCHE:  We'll be like Kardashies!
BOTH:  Christmas time is about all the stuff
BLANCHE:  And although we will horde some, we'll spend lots at Norstrom's!
BOTH:  Too much money is never enough!

(chorus)
BOTH:  It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
BLANCHE:  I'll be bathing in moolah
MARV:  (dancing) I'll be doing the hula!
BOTH:  When those riches are near!
BOTH:  It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

(verse)
BLANCHE:  It's about being wealthy
MARV:  Hey, let's take a selfie!
BOTH:  (posing together) Christmas ain't like it was long ago.
BLANCHE:  We'll be sharing our story
MARV:  And tales of the glory
BOTH:  As we're swimming in all of that dough!

(chorus)
BOTH:  It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
MARV:  The gifts under the tree
BLANCHE:  They're all waiting for me!
BOTH:  Yes, those riches are near!
BOTH:  It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
BOTH:  It's the Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!

Daddy did get home to watch pretty much most of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." with Mommy.  Oh, and there was a little bit of tree decorating going on as well.  We did a few things at home today, sure.  But it was mostly a work day, gearing up for the holiday season.  Things are about to get busy!
