The Gift 2014

We're missing our Joseph, but here are the Nativity players for our upcoming production, "Holly."  You can see Madison, our little sheep, over to the left.  Daddy took this to share with some other folks who our Nativity cast would be.  We've since switched the three kings with the shepherds, for lighting purposes.  But the cast remains the same, and practice went well today.  We spent a little time going over this scene where they come out on stage to a particular song.  And then we worked on some other blocking issues as well - things are coming along just fine.

Afterwards, we headed to the theater!

It was time to see "The Gift" once more, and this time we invited some new friends from the Christmas production.

The girl to the left of Madison will be playing an orphan character on stage named Princess.  Right after play practice today, we headed over to the theater to catch the ballet.  Everyone enjoyed it as always, a beautiful performance, and in essence a church service.  Dance is very much a part of worship, hence the title of the ministry:  "Praise in Motion."

We've been donating for years - in fact, our names are on the back of the program as "angels," which is kind of cool.  We watched the Christmas story, and then the continuing Bible story unfold on stage - it's always the same story, but with new twists or songs each year.  It's a slowly evolving process - but fortunately the Three Wise Men dance scene remains constant for Mommy.  It's her favorite.

Daddy went back to work, while Madison and Mommy went home to get things ready for Nana and Ba-Ba.  We did a bit of shopping for the skit tomorrow, one about a Grinch and Thanksgiving.  It should be funny... I hope...
