Nutcracker Camp

Back to Nutcracker Camp this morning!

Here's Madison, having met Clara, and I'm guessing a sugar plum fairy?  This is a nice little camp - just two hours long, but packed with activity and fun.  You can see above the photo that each family gets, but there are also crafts of Christmas ornaments, ones that Madison made this morning.  And, of course, there is the dancing.

Afterwards, all the parents line squeeze into this room with a terrible view in an attempt to see their daughter dance something for approximately one minute to a minute and a half.   But... it's the Nutcracker music, and it's Christmas, and it's your kid - so it's alright!  Seriously, it was cute.

Madison loved the morning quite a bit.  Mommy picked up tickets for "The Nutcracker" in December, coming up soon really.  And while the camp was going on, Daddy was able to pick up the latest Lowe's Build and Grow project.  We are such fans of these crafts that Lowe's gives away for free each month.  Sometimes twice a month.  This morning's project was a science lab, one that Madison and Daddy built at home later on.  We got the hammer out, and that's all we needed.  Together, we set things up in the kitchen, and built our lab.  The lab came with about eight different experiment ideas, ones we'll be trying in the days to come.  That'll be a fun little theme, won't it?

I can't say enough good things about the Build and Grow program.  Madison has learned a lot about building things, and she's excited to do so.  The crafts are creative, and durable, and higher quality.  And the patches are a must for Madison.  Daddy got her a patch, one she earned upon building her science lab.

Daddy had a lot of work to do today, all of it towards the Christmas production upcoming.  We did some blocking for orphans, and a bit of behind-the-scenes work as well.  We've got a long way to go.  There are unfortunately some setbacks here and there, but hopefully we can finally nail some things down soon.

All in all, it was a great day at work, one where Mommy and Madison joined the staff in cleaning up the office, and setting things up for tomorrow.  It'll be a great day tomorrow!
