Monsters Bowloffathon

We were back to Bowling tonight, although not really technically yet.  Maddie will actually be bowling this Saturday when she heads over to Stars and Strikes in Buford for a birthday party.  But tonight, we were at the bowling alley they built somewhere inside Monsters Inc.  It was a great episode, as all of these have been - it's a lot of nostalgia at play, of course.  But we're enjoying it, and there are some genuinely funny moments too.  Tonight's episode brought back memories of an old video game from 2001 or so, one called "Bowling for Screams."  It was fun, and it made me want to go back to a bowling alley again.

Maddie was back at taekwondo, much better after her injury a few days ago, clearly ready to go.  She was helping a really large class as an assistant instructor, and then it was time for her leadership class, where she was practicing with her sword a good bit.  I'm super busy prepping for this event called "Thunderstruck," one that Maddie will be helping out with.  We've got hundreds and hundreds of kids signing up for this thing - right now the numbers are around 900 registered, so we'll just have to wait and see how many actually show up.  Meanwhile, there's a lot of work to be done with filming, editing, graphics, writing, hand-outs, ordering, costumes, props, and so on.  It's almost like Summer Xtreme again.  It's kind of "Summer Xtreme Lite."

Maddie and I have been addicted to this Camp Cretaceous series, and will keep on watching that each night, probably.  But we're also reading on with Kingdom Keepers, book five.  Maddie is super into it.  We were talking about all the times the main character Finn has been attacked thus far, and Maddie was ready to list it all, remembering things that I didn't, and I'm the one who was reading it out loud!

We said our prayers tonight, and it's going to be a busy season here.  Time to get some rest!
