Part of the research process for this series is watching movies like this one above. It's "His Majesty, Scarecrow of Oz," and the movie is from 1914. But get this - Frank Baum himself wrote this "screenplay" and actually produced the thing. It's the one movie about Oz that the author himself was involved directly with. That alone made it a "must-see" for me, and as you can see above, it features our friends the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow of course.
That wasn't the big viewing we were watching tonight though - the whole family as watching "Loki" tonight, along with the latest episode of "Monsters at Work." The last episode of "Loki" wasn't really an ending at all, but rather a gateway to all kinds of crazy. The "Monsters" episode was really fun - it's great to see all the staff of Monsters, Inc. back in action.
Madison was making these "pom-pom dudes" today, these little pom-poms with google eyes on them. I think she made about fourteen or so throughout the day, just for fun. She'll give some away to friends, but there are at least three that she's definitely going to keep.
Later on, she had her small group online again. Camille had a game set up with guessing a number of French fries - all part of celebrating National French Fry Day. We were listening to some funny French songs earlier, this because it's also another holiday in France. But National French Fry Day is a day worth celebrating!
We read and we said our prayers tonight. It was a good day today, although it's still work keeping Nana active, which is something we need to keep on doing all the time. It's work, and sometimes we compare it to watching over a toddler. And if she's not entertained, it's a little tough. We're trying to give her freedom, and letting her decide when she does things. It's a lot of work though, and there's been some wear and tear.
Anyway, we were reading tonight, and we did pray. It was a good day today, despite it all.
