Flipping Video

Maddie is getting more comfortable with her flip here.  This is the second time she's attempted it with all the cushions and so forth, and this time around she did it right away, and then the next two attempts as well.  Obviously, landing on her feet is coming some day, but it's such a huge step having the courage to try that.  I don't actually have that courage.  Not even off a diving board!

Uncle George and Maddie's cousins Brandon showed up tonight from Ohio, making the trip here by SUV, a long trip.  They arrived while we were at taekwondo, and there was a happy greeting when we got home.  We sat and watched a movie together tonight, and did a lot of catching up too over dinner, some meat loaf that Mom had cooked up.  I also picked up a rotisserie chicken on the way home, so we had plenty to eat for everyone.  

It was raining again, part of the system of scattered showers that have been popping up and rolling over the Southeast all week.  It's been hit and miss, really.  We saw a rainbow today on our way back from taekwondo, and that's always nice.

We've got guests in the house tonight, so Maddie is out of her room to give the other two enough space to sleep in.  Maddie herself is in the sewing room, sleeping on an inflatable mattress, surrounded by all her plush friends and a nightlight.

We still read tonight, and we prayed too.  It was a decent day, but we got to bed early, because we have a few fun things to do tomorrow.
