"Reflection"

Madison had her first yearbook meeting today, already discussing the book that will be published a year from now or so, and yes, they've apparently already come up with a theme for the thing.  There was a lot of brainstorming, according to Madison, where the groups got together to come up with ideas for the new book.  The end result was the title "Reflections," which of course makes me think of "Mulan."  But we'll see what that means entirely for the book as the year progresses.  Certainly these books are now more "stately" than the more colorful elementary school books, which have all kinds of character to them.  These books are more like something you'd see in a college, which isn't saying they look bad.  In fact, this year's Little Mill yearbook is something I'm pretty amazed at.  It is one of my favorite covers, in fact.

They had a good day today, although most of it was in this meeting.  There was a highlight moment of a bird getting trapped in the building, one that the kids had fun talking about long after.  But there was a lot of productivity too, talking about color schemes, layouts, and wording (being sure to use words like "moments" and so forth).

We had no taekwondo tonight, as there were more belt ceremonies there tonight.  So it was somewhat of a relaxing night, with a few episodes of "Gravity Falls" again, and some relaxing on the front porch.  The weather is getting warm out there, and in fact it will get warmer.  We're supposed to see a heat wave coming, one with little rain.  This is an altogether different weather pattern, one I'm not particularly fond of.  Heat and dry are boring and unpleasant to me, which I suppose would make desert living not as great once you get past the excitement of living some place new that doesn't feature as much pollen.

We were over at Gainesville College (I still call it that), checking out the trails there, scouting out places to film for Summer Xtreme.  We've got a lot still to do, and in fact will have a huge meeting tomorrow about that much.  Some of us went to the zoo today, while others were typing away, or creating graphics.  We've got a lot going on this season, and here it is, the last Tuesday of sixth grade. Madison just has to hang on a few more days, and soon it will all be over once more.
