Bartimaeus

Today we had a rather fun service again, and you can see our Bartimaeus on stage, just moments after he was healed.  He can see now, and that was the point of the service, to see who God is, see who we are, and see where we're going.  Madison was being a mentor to another new actress on stage, who you can see above.  She wanted to see what it would be like on stage, so Mommy found her a costume and she was good to go, with a little proper guidance.  No classes at all!  Of course, it wasn't much to do what they were doing today - they were merely cast extras, costumed characters on hand to witness the miracle of Jesus.  It was a fun skit, and a fun day overall at KidPak.

We went home after this - Mommy was a little tired, probably due to some allergy medicine.  But Madison and Daddy snuck out to Lakeshore Mall after this, pleasantly surprised to see people there shopping.  We were there to see the Bath & Body Works, and although the Gainesville selection is supremely limited, we were able to find a few gifts for Mommy while she was home sleeping.  We also went out to the parking lot of the mall, and lo!  There was a carnival.  Madison has not really been to a carnival in a parking lot before, the mobile sort of thing.  We walked up and down and all around, looking at the rides, and Daddy was offering to get her a ticket here or there, for this or that... but she declined.  She thought everything looked a little sketchy.  Even if Daddy went on with her a certain ride, she was still not really up for it.  So we basically had a quick walk up, down, around, and back to the car again!  Don't worry:  we stopped for some ice cream on the way home!

Mommy was up when we got back, and Madison was playing her piano.  She did her recital piece about five times, and it is in fact getting better each time.  Although the first time today was kind of rough.  But she's improving, and she'll be playing a lot more as the week goes on.

We watched "Despicable Me 3" tonight, mainly because we hadn't yet, and it's on Netflix, and we are cancelling Netflix soon.  There's just not that much that we watch to justify it, although we've had some things on the watch list for a while now.  The impending cancellation will put us into overdrive, watching what we can before we drop the account entirely.  It won't take too long - we just had a few movies on there to watch, and seriously, if we haven't watched them by now, you know it's not terribly important.

We read a few more chapters from "Neverland" tonight, said our prayers, read from our devotional, and all of us were in bed a bit earlier tonight.  The skies are clear tonight, but the clouds were dense and the heavy rain showers were frequent this weekend, all the way up until about early evening.  Things are calm again and the radar is clear, although the lake is no doubt going to be super full again.  It'll be some time before that goes down to normal levels, the way the rain keeps coming.  But we're grateful for the rain, and grateful for all of the timing of things.  We've been very blessed!
