We saw "Toy Story 4" again tonight, and I still say it probably should have ended with "Toy Story 3." This fourth movie was fun though, and it had some laugh-out-loud moments too, plus some creativity along the way. We're not sure what the future holds for "Toy Story 5," but for now we'll settle with watching the remaining "Toy Story" stuff in our collection, the shorts and the half-hour specials too. We're sort of on that "Toy Story" marathon now, and it's been fun watching our old friends in action again. The first three movies especially are so, so good. Meanwhile, I'm writing new stuff for our ongoing stage performances. Hopefully everyone will like this next installation in the series - it's a new storyline emerging, something different from last time. We'll see where it goes, but it's been fun writing with these characters and adding some classics lines here and there as Easter eggs.
Tonight Maddie had taekwondo, although a shorter class. I was busy writing here, getting things done with graphics and so forth. Maddie was helping youth and also going to her leadership class as well. She's having fun with these classes.
She had a good day at school, and one that she got out of super early. I picked her up at 1:39, because her classes were pretty much over with for the day. Wow! But she got home early, and that was good for her. No football game tomorrow night, as the team is playing an away game. The weather outside is cooler, and that's nice. I was out on the porch doing a lot of good work today, getting things done.
Speaking of which, I got the 30-workout treadmill session done today, one filmed out West at various locations. I miss going out there greatly, but get to see it on the treadmill, and that's nice.
Oh, and I got the first TMBG Instant Fan Club installment today! That was cool. It has a CD in it, a copy of their latest concert recording with an emphasis on the horns, something called "Beast of Horns." It's pretty good - I've been listening to an early release of it, a digital copy. There are some obvious choices, but some other ones that I'm glad they added too. Missing is "Sad Sack," which has a great horn section bit - but at least I can find that elsewhere on other recordings. Anyway, there's other stuff in there - no book this time - but there is the puzzle, the coffee mug, the t-shirt, and more. I'll wear that t-shirt tomorrow!
I've been having some heart flutters tonight, and that's creepy. But Mom helped out with some oils and a little blanket device that does something called PMF therapy. We do that each day, actually. But this new setting really relaxed things, and helped me get sleep - which I was worried about.
Maddie and I closed out the day reading more from our short stories in that "Return of the Jedi" book called "From a Certain Point of View." We're only a few stories from the end of this book, a rather big endeavor. Maddie is looking forward to that last story from Tom Angleberger, who of course is famous in our house for the "Origami Yoda" books.
We closed out the day with prayer, and after that tucking in everyone, including the Plush Entourage. We all got a good night's rest tonight. It was a good day after all!
