Tonight we went "old school" with a fun return to Auradon Prep, and it was actually pretty fun! We weren't expecting as much, but were pleasantly surprised! You can see Uma was back, along with the Fairy Godmother. But the real protagonists were the new characters, Red and Chloe. Goodness... how long ago was that first movie? Nine years ago? Maddie was obsessed with the movie at the time, as were many her age. And then the three following movies. I remember Maddie having a Evie costume, and of course a Mal costume too. But the Uma costume was a huge hit, as we ordered that one super early, just before they became sold out. And there was the KidPak series that we did with these characters too. "Descendants" is a big part of the pages of this blog. It was a lot of nostalgia tonight, a fun movie!
The rest of our day was pretty busy with Summer Xtreme prep. Maddie had a good bit of taekwondo tonight.
She's been working on this front flip, and she's getting closer with each attempt. It was a good night overall, and she always has so much to say afterwards about her adventures in class. It's a great time with great friends. We stopped by the Race Trac on the way home and got some slushies, and of course we got to see the movie tonight before bed.
It was a good day today - we're just super busy lately. Next week is Summer Xtreme, and after that, we'll take another break after that.
