We slept in today, and it was really nice. Really nice! Things slightly back to normal, we were cleaning up the house a good bit today, and yes there was some packing too for an upcoming getaway.
We did have a good visit with Doc Williams at the chiropractor, and they were pretty busy there. But he spent a good bit of time with us, and we were reminiscing about all the visits with Maddie when she was younger. We were sharing some pictures from way back then with him, and then of course it was time for yet another picture, because why not?
Maddie had her taekwondo class tonight, and we got some grocery shopping in. But otherwise, it was a pretty mundane sort of Monday. That was just fine with everyone. Tonight's feature was the last movie in the Herbie marathon, which was a long time coming given that we started a while back with the Herbie movies. We read tonight from our short story book from "return of the Jedi," part of a series called "From a Certain Point of View." This one looks like it will be nice, a little story about Wicket the Ewok. We'll see where it goes from here, although it seems obvious he's about to meet a very famous princess.
I finished up the latest series in Martinique, walking up a mountain for a good bit. Tomorrow we'll see some mountains, although not as tropical. It was a quiet Monday, at least here. Nationally, we've got this election issue and the attempted assassination controversy about the secret service. Crazy amount of news outside, with attempted assassinations, the President stepping down from his campaign... and a huge internet issue this weekend too, resulting in massive problems for the hospital and airports and elsewhere. Lots of uneasy news going on, but we're doing okay here for the time being. We said our prayers and got to sleep fairly quickly. Things will definitely pick up tomorrow!
