Pool Party

Hot and sunny weather meant a chance to cool off, and thankfully Team Edge had a place to gather for a pool party!  One of the families in North Hall offered their place for a fun afternoon together, and Maddie was ready to dive in!

It was super fun!  Dads grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and there were plenty of things to drink there, and plenty of places to soak in the sun.

The weather finally brought us some rain, but that came much later in the afternoon.  It wasn't as much as elsewhere, but we were grateful for it.  Mom and I were out on the front porch just sitting there listening to the sound of the rain falling.

We had some yellow finches popping up to visit our flowers, and there are at least two hummingbirds trying out our new feeder.  We'd be sitting there reading on the front porch, and sure enough, the hummingbirds would zoom by, the thrum of their wings super close to your ears.

Yummy!  We had some "Pez" ice cream, these blocks of ice cream that were shaped like Pez, and even had the word "PEZ" on them.  They were pretty good!

Tonight we watched "Spider-man:  Across the Multi-verse," which is another fantastic movie, although one with a big cliffhanger.  We've been waiting a good while for that sequel, but it'll hopefully be worth the wait when it comes out.  I know that movie will have a huge turnout with folks like us to find out what happens next.

We made some items for tomorrow's service, including a "Fog Horns" hockey jersey.  And there was some gathering of costumes, but we should have fun tomorrow when we dress up as different characters from "Inside Out."

Tonight's reading finished up the story with Malikili, and after that it was time for prayers and sleep.  We've got an early morning tomorrow!
