Characters were in the lobby greeting and positing for pictures too, spreading Christmas spirit. Or perhaps some Grinchmas spirit too! We hung around the hotel, and did another scavenger hunt throughout the hotel area, a more difficult one than the one we did a few months ago here. The clue on the fourth floor was the most difficult - but we got there eventually. You'll see a few pictures of some of the decorations and clue locations we discovered in our hunt this morning as we scrambled around the hotel.
After that, we got a visit from Parrot Mountain again, this time the birds coming to the hotel for a little fun.
Three birds showed up, and some talked while others danced and climbed around on guests. It was fun! We went back to the hotel room after this, and it's a nice one. The Christmas tree is a bit smaller, but the music channel was playing Christmas songs and the other decorations are really nice in there.
Our next destination was some mini-golf. The weather was perfect, so we popped in the Davy Crockett CD by "Riders in the Sky" and went back towards Gatlinburg to play the fort-themed course of the Davy Crockett Mini-Golf!
I wound up getting three holes-in-ones! But we all had a great time exploring the grounds. The Ripley's courses are the most fun to us, weaving in and out and with all these characters and interaction . It was fun!
Time to head back to our room! This guy is in a wreath right next to our door - he's kind of creepy like a Tim Burton elf or something!
Okay, time for our next destination: Pigeon Forge Snow!
This is a big snow tube slide, where people get on tubes and slide down these lanes on a big indoor hill. You ride a big escalator up with your tubes...
And then it's time to slide down!
Joey the Porg even got in on the action, sliding down the hill!
Afterwards, Maddie did some snowballs in the snow area, and then it was back to the hotel. We were ready for dinner, so we went right next door to the hotel to get some pizza from Mellow Mushroom.
It was good! Our stomachs were full, we headed back to the hotel and there we saw a performance by a ventriloquist!
That was fun! There was a good crowd there to see the show - it's been good seeing all the stuff the hotel has planned along the week for "Christmas in July." Oh, and speaking of which, we went to the desk and borrowed another Christmas movie. Last time we were here, we watched "Home Alone," so this time, it was time to watch "Home Alone 2!"
