Bank On It

Maddie at the bank.  Yeah, we were at the bank today, doing more bank things.  We're helping to get some transfers going, and you can see Mom in the back in the small office back there.  Maddie and I sat at the table, talking for a bit, waiting a bit.  Afterwards, it was time for boba tea!  We drove a little further than necessary, as the boba place nearby was actually closed on Mondays.  So we drove to Oakwood for our usual place, and that was cool because I saved up enough stamps to get a free boba tea.  

The rest of the day was nice.  We spent a good bit of time chilling on the front porch, as has been our habit lately.  We read out there, listen to a few things, do a bit of laptop work, and just enjoy the cool of the day before we do the rest of the things of the day.  Like walking on the treadmill - the new badge is earned by doing a good series in Martinique.  Following an Olympic rower of all things.  I say that because we just saw that Olympic rowing movie, which was pretty good.  So yeah, rowing is the small theme, I guess.  Some time ago, I saw rowing at the Olympics.  I think I went twice, actually.  It was on Lake Lanier, and it was pretty cool.  

Today we did a good bit of yard work, charing out a lot of leaves and putting mulch down on one side of the house.  It looks better over there!  It was hot though, so we definitely had to get inside.  I got a shower and was looking forward to Dark Side Scrub, the new bar of soap I have with a Darth Vader theme.  I've had one of these bars in the past, but I've been cycling through the Star Wars soaps, and here we are at Dark Side Scrub and the force is strong with this one!

Anyway, it was a good day, a productive day.  We closed it out with reading and prayers, tucking everyone in and a good night's rest.
