Meet Maddie, the Funko Pop version, at least. This was a fun little Valentine's Day gift, a customized character that you can design. We gave her the ripped jeans, the black hoodie, the short black hair, plus she's holding a camera and of course a cell phone.
It was a nice day today. Maddie and I both gave Mom a card, plus there were some chocolates that Maddie picked up for her, and that was nice too. I had other smaller cards for them, plus everyone at work too - Jurassic Park Valentine's Day cards, complete with pencils! It was fun leaving them on everyone's desks today. Bailee got us all pink and white Tic Tacs, and Josh made a customized Valentine's Day card just for me:
That's right, it's a Nute Gunray Valentine's Day Card! Hilarious! We're frequently imitating this odd character, and of course this card inspired a few other ideas for a whole Nute Gunray Valentine's Day card series:
“My feelings are so great for you, I can’t PROCESS THEM.”
“My love for you is getting out of hand!”
“A Valentine’s Day Card? This is OUTRAGEOUS!”
“Hey, Cupid! Shoot her or something!”
Tonight, Mom and I had a really great meal - a Factor Valentine's Day meal.
Factor is this company that sends out pre-packaged food. It's never frozen, but rather sent with ice packs in the mail to your home where you then put it in the refrigerator and have it ready to heat up. We've been doing this since the fast, trying out some vegetarian options which were amazing. And now that the fast is over with, it's been really awesome trying out some other options with fish, pork, chicken... really creative and delicious entries!
Filet Mignon! Mom made a nice table setting, plus there's the dessert they provided too - some cheesecake with almonds and sauces. Really nice! We had some romantic music playing and enjoyed a great evening together, while Maddie was out at FCY again.
She returned to FCY tonight for the usual Wednesday night service, although tonight was Valentine's Day. Pastor Jacob was speaking about love, of course.
Maddie had a good night too! And it was a good day at school as well, especially with this visitor here.
We were eating conversation hearts left and right, getting work done, and getting ready for our upcoming trip too. But it was great to stop and celebrate Valentine's Day as well. It was a very nice day.
