Galentine's

Tonight Maddie was at an event for the girls called "Galentine's," and it wasn't for a huge amount of girls - just a certain number of them to come in, have some Chick-Fil-A, hang out, and even make paintings like the one you see above.  Maddie made that and brought it home - "You are One in a Melon!"  She had a good time tonight and was grateful to be there.

It was another quiet day, and certainly cooler outside.  Maddie was at Chestatee earlier in the day, where she learned the whereabouts of the science lab there, which used to be in a significantly different area.  This was surprising.

Speaking of surprising, Dad got a few early Valentine's Day gifts from Mom, a few new shirts to wear on the cruise coming up soon.  Earlier, we were packing a little, including some pirate clothing for the pirate party on deck.  It's going to be fun.  We were writing for this weekend, and also for Summer Xtreme today, and for lunch, I had this incredible salmon dinner that this food ordering service has been so good with lately.  We're hooked - and in fact tomorrow's Valentine's Day dinner will be from that same food service.  Mom and I are trying it out - we got the order in today, and we'll head it up tomorrow for a really nice dinner.

We did our usual things today, and we closed out the day with another small portion of "The Shepherd's Crown," which should wrap up tomorrow night.  It's been good.  We said our prayers, and brought all the plush friends down the hall again to get tucked in.  It's been a nice day - here are soem pictures from Maddie from tonight's event.  She had a great night!
