FCY Night!

Chilly night outside, but it was a good service at FCY, and one that actually went a little longer in fact.  Pastor Hamilton spoke and the service sort of extended somewhat so that the students were pouring into the recreation area a little later on to get pizza and sit and talk for a short while.  It was a good night though.  You can see Maddie in one of the pics above, sitting and talking with Noadiah.

Maddie's been making intensive prom plans fairly early, because that's how she works.  She sort of gets an idea into her head and just gets relentless about it - we've ordered her a dress, and oddly enough it's coming from China.  It'll take a little while to get here, but she's happy about this one, and of course other plans for that day.

She was doing well today with her classes - no Chestatee though.  She'll be back there again tomorrow, but not Friday, as they are preparing for interviews.  That's making her a little nervous, but she'll be fine, I think.

We were writing scripts and proofing booklets today, and preparing for an event coming up on Friday where we have about 400 kids already registered.  It's a parents night out, and the kids should have a good time here with games and fun.  Simultaneously, Maddie will be helping out with a parents night out that is at Edge Martial Arts too.  So a lot of parents will have a night out on Friday!

So I've still got this lingering cough, which is annoying.  But others have told me they have a similar thing, something that lasts about two weeks, or maybe slightly more.  Master Edge is one of those people, and he seems pretty fit to me!  So it's not about that.  It's just something that has to run its course.  Speaking of running a course, I've kept my marching going on the treadmill, and that's been good to take of each morning.

ALSO!  Guess what?  Our sea monkeys have laid eggs again!  So we have three grown-ups left, and that's been the status quo for the last month or so - back in January we lost one, but it's been almost a year since they first hatched and I'm not sure what their lifespan is.  But these three have been around since day one, I think, and they seem to be doing rather well.  I keep giving them oxygen each day, and then food once a week, and sure enough, this Martian tank has been a great hang-out for sea monkeys since Easter.  So yes, I'm excited about the younglings - Mom and I have spotted about three of them, and hopefully they can grow and get bigger.  We'll see in the coming weeks.

We didn't have much time tonight to read, but we did do some reading, and after that it was time for prayers and for the plush entourage to head down the hall for a long winter's nap.  It was a decent day today!
