Bonnie's Dedication

Full morning at KidPak today - firstly, it was pouring rain.  That Pineapple Express finally made it all the way across the country to us, joining up with some precipitation from the Gulf of Mexico to douse us quite a bit.  But we showed up for Trailblazers this morning, as you can see above.  Maddie's ready with her cowboy hat on, and ready for another stage performance.

But there was something else going on in the second service, or rather just before that second service.   Camille and Chris brought their little girl Bonnie to church this morning because she was getting dedicated at the church.  Maddie made these bracelets above and Camille was wearing them this morning.

The KidPak service was super fun, and a great continuation of our Trailblazers series with a great game you see above, and the ongoing story of our skit with the Lone Ranger and others.

Maddie and the others did very well with their parts, and the audience was laughing a good bit throughout.  We've got a mystery, and the Lone Ranger and Tonto just might figure it all out in a few weeks.  We'll be wrapping this one up in a couple weeks, and it's been nice.

Pastor Lance was talking this morning about how we are "branded," and one of our volunteers actually was kind of interesting to talk to during service, as he has somewhat of a ranch with cattle to take care of.  The message about "rounding up" others and being "marked" really worked well with the Trailblazers series.

Look who's here!  This was Bonnie's arrival at KidPak, and she was in a great mood.  In between services (just before the second service), she would be dedicated by Pastor Franklin and prayed over, and of course all the KidPak cast were sneaking up there to sit amidst the audience and watch, and in my case, take some more pictures.

Yes, so here's Bonnie getting dedicated and prayed over.  I was snapping a bunch of photos today, and we were all up there cheering.  The photos came out well, and the moment was very nice.  Maddie was recording it with her phone too.

It was a nice morning at church, and the weather cleared up briefly, although it did start to rain again later on.  We had Chinese food (leftovers), and then I took a pretty good nap this afternoon while Maddie was working on her ELA homework, and returning to her game Animal Crossing.

Tonight's feature was "Inside Out," which we watched for two reasons.  Firstly, there's a sequel coming out this summer.  Secondly, pretty soon we're going to an ice cream shop called "Joyful Sweets" on the Disney Wish.  We had to do research and watch the movie!  And it's been a while - we had forgotten quite a bit about this movie, believe it or not, which made it great to see again.  It's one of our favorites.

Anyway, we read more tonight before bed.  The battle of elves versus witches is about to commence, with the Nac Mac Feegle ready, their battle cry of course being "Crivens!"  We said our prayers just after this, and the plush entourage was ready for bed, getting tucked in as the rain pours down outside.

I'm doing these breathing treatments before bed, as my lungs haven't been 100% yet.  We'll get there.
