The Voyage Begins

We'll have some group shots soon enough of all these costumes, but here are some pictures I found online from one of our congregation members who was happy to see all we have going on at KidPak.  We had all kinds of characters, and of course Maddie was right there with our cast, delivering her lines as one of the Pilgrims.  She looked great in her costume.

And our turkey is back!  Camille was dressed up as a turkey this morning for our opening skit of "The Voyage," which told the story of the Pilgrims crossing the ocean, and of course there are natives there already, and also... this turkey.  The kids were loving the bits where our Pilgrims were chasing after the turkey, but of course there was a strong Biblical message this morning too.  Josh did a fantastic job with the video for the morning, which is something we based on the book we've been reading about the true story of the Pilgrims.

The kids are getting a proper education about the history of Pilgrim voyage, and yes, there's a lot of Bible in that too as we talked about Abraham moving away from the city of Ur.  Or as I pronounced it in the video online for KidPak this weekend:

Urrrrrrrrrrrrrr... we're still doing the online videos, and that's still going strong.  They've been lots of fun lately, and yeah, pretty goofy at times.  But this is an awesome series, and I'm happy to be back on the Voyage.

The rest of the day was quiet, although I started putting up the Star Wars Christmas tree.  Maddie was catching up on some homework, and we've been watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and just settling down after a big morning.  That said, we had some quiet time tonight, reading before bed, and then prayers, and then a good night's rest.
