The Onesie Gang

So I still have the Stitch onesie, and Maddie has her Perry the Platypus onesie that we used for the "Spy Games" series a few months ago.  She was quite insistent that we both wear these tonight before bedtime, and why not?  We had these on for story time tonight, sitting amongst the plush friends, including Chuck, who you can barely see, and the plush Poop that has been in our bed for months now, or perhaps years.  I distinctly remember this being my companion during that season I was recovering from heart trouble.

Anyway, today was a quiet day.  We're working on Narnia stuff, writing a lot and it might be a race against time to get it done.  There is so much going on, I'm not sure if we can get it done by December, actually - we'll see.  And also getting ready for some FCY things, and it's great to have so much for the youth to do.  They'll be seeing a movie shortly, and there is Friendsgiving coming up, and there are other things planned for not only Youth but also KidPak.  Lots of stuff going on, like I said.

Today I finished the Star Wars tree.  One Christmas tree done, and three to go.  It looks really nice though. We got a whole lot of new Christmas lights on sale, and this month we'll convert our house into something nice and Christmassy, if that's a word.  Spellcheck isn't correcting it, so it must be a word.  I love putting the ornaments up there, each one reminding me of where it came from, who gave it as a gift, or what year we got it.  Some go back a long, long ways.  The Death Star tree topper is still perfect for the top, and the Star Wars tree skirt that Mom made looks just right on the bottom.  It's location in the house is great, because people driving by can spot it through the upper window, all lit up and decorated nicely.  It takes a while to get these things decorated, but when done, the house looks pretty nice.

We're reading "The Light Fantastic" this month, and Maddie is hearing about Cohen the Barbarian for the first time.  The Luggage is still plodding along, Death is still SPEAKING IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, and Rincewind is still running away from everything.  I'm enjoying the return to these old familiar characters, like old friends I get to hang around with once more.  We said our prayers after that, and got ready for a good night's rest, both of us still wearing our comfy onesies.  Because why not?
