Platypus Glasses

 

Maddie's quite comfortable in her platypus onesie!  She was wearing it tonight again before bed, but this time it appears as if that platypus needs to wear glasses.  Tonight she had small groups, and it was fun for Maddie and all the girls, hanging around together online and talking with one another quite a bit.  Maddie occasionally takes screen shots as she enjoys the evening with the others.

It was a fun day.  Maddie did have taekwondo tonight, which was her leadership class plus the time she spends helping instructors with the younger students.  It was a busy day with writing for our upcoming series and of course this weekend as well.  

The weather is wet and rainy tonight, something we need.  Windy too, which we don't need so much.  Bits of the hurricane that swept through Florida headed this way, and we were glad to see the rain come this way.  Cold is coming this way too, though about a day afterwards.  It'll be quite chilly this weekend, something we're not accustomed to seeing so much.  We've gotten firewood though, and we've had the chimney sweep come by to check things out - we're ready for fires in the fireplace now!

Oh, and we're ready for ice cream!  Maddie and I had some Christmas Tree Cakes Ice Cream, which is basically an ice cream that has Little Debbie Ice Cream Cakes put into it.  The amount of sugar in just one scoop must be simply astounding.  But we tried it, and it tastes exactly as you'd expect - a super sweet holiday delight.  But... I think I'm done with this one after one bowl.  

We read some more tonight, and of course after that we prayed.  It was a quiet day, a rainy one, and tonight we all packed up under the blankets for an early night's rest.  We have a busy night tomorrow night.
