For God So Loved

"For God So Loved" did well tonight, and we're so grateful to be a part of the process.  Daddy had input in writing the story, particularly with the idea of Peter telling the story some time later.  There were other ideas as well, but it was somewhat of a committee writing the thing this time around, so credit for the story sort of gets spread out a bit.  Obviously, it's all from the Bible, so we'll also throw a lot of credit over to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John!

Anyway, it was a decent performance.  It wasn't without a hitch, but those hitches weren't too bad.  Ultimately, there were many people who raised their hands when the call for salvation went out at the end.  This is the fruit:  changed lives.  Salvations.  The story of Jesus was told, and judging a tree by its fruit, it was apparent that this was a very successful event.  A lot of people, especially Mommy, poured a lot of effort into this in order to present the gospel to a packed house.  There were some that came from far away, and some that rarely come to church at all - and every one got to see and hear the greatest story ever told.  The hours and hours that these families sacrificed is staggering - volunteering for just one purpose, to go and tell the world about Jesus.

Along the way, Mommy saved hundreds of dollars using coupons, and purchasing things at Goodwill as well, striking a balance between excellence and good stewardship.  But the most valuable thing of all though is the time spent behind the scenes by everyone.

So there are two more days of the production, and as you can imagine, we went home and went straight to bed.  I'm sure all the parties involved did as such, everyone exhausted from the noble effort.

We told Madison how proud we were of her.  She did so well tonight, though she was nervous.  She went out and smiled brilliantly, and did her dancing to the delight of the crowds.  How could we not be smiling from backstage?

The rest of the day was filled with preparations, and of course school for Madison.  She was excited to go to school this morning, because all the children would be getting Easter eggs.  And it was a good day for her at school, despite being a bit tired from the late night last night.

She's singing "I am not Forgotten" now, the song she sings on stage with the other children.  "He knows my name."  I am certain that she and all the other children touched our Father's heart tonight with their performance.  I know they touched ours!
