Maddie got to have fun with some friends Saturday afternoon, going down to a place along 400, just doing a bit of shopping and having more bubble tea. She likes it a great deal, and there's a nice little shop down there near the theater that friends can hang out at. The weather was nice outside, and it was just a good afternoon together walking and shopping and having tea of course.
Earlier in the day, there was Team Edge, back again for an initial practice, the first one of the year, and the first time they've done anything together as Team Edge since their December performance. It was a relaxed sort of morning, although there were certainly a lot of warm-ups and work-outs. There just wasn't the stress of a team practicing to get things to a point of precision yet. That will come soon enough, right?
We were doing a bit of shopping today, and we found some items for Maddie's upcoming production with the school, some parts of a costume that Mom is putting together for Maddie's character within the Seussical world. We'll show a picture of that when it's done, hopefully. We were just shopping at a few thrift stores, and we found these items plus some vinyl records and Christmas music and other small items.
Tonight's programming was the Olympics, of course. Lots going on already there, although no gold medals yet for the United States. It's still really engaging programming though. There have already been a lot of thrilling moments.
We read tonight, and we spent a good time studying the script for tomorrow's KidPak. It's going to be another big day and we're looking forward to it!
