Winter Wonderland 2016

This morning began with a bit of skating at a new place over in Cumming.  This was the location of Mrs. Pam's "Winter Wonderland" celebration, an annual gathering of all her music students who get to do something fun together.  It changes from year to year, but this year's event was at the roller skating rink, and Madison had a great time doing that.

Here she is skating, and doing just fine on her own.  Sure, there are times you want to have Daddy nearby for support, but she was off on her own mostly, and that was okay too.  In the meantime, Daddy was snapping pictures of everyone to share later.

It was a fast two hours, actually!  This place was a little different from the skating rink we'll be visiting next week, but Madison still had a good time.

The rest of the day was about setting up for our new series, Roughin' It, which starts tomorrow.  We did filming yesterday, and tomorrow we'll have everything matching up to our "great outdoors" theme that we've got going on.  The set is even made out of wood, which is pretty awesome.  The trees are made out of wood.  Isn't that strange?  You cut down a tree to make lumber to purchase and paint and stand up to make look like… a tree.

Anyway, the set looks pretty woodsy, and the display case is done as of today - thanks to Mommy.  The skits are set up, the videos edited, so tomorrow should be lots of fun for the kids.  Madison was here helping set things up, and helping to clean up as well.  Tomorrow, she'll get to join the hundreds of other kids, and start "Roughin' It!"
