Set Position!

Today was our last full day in Florida for a time, and it was decided that we should kick back and relax a bit more today.  Meaning:  don't go anywhere.

Still, Daddy and Madison managed to sneak out to the pool for a bit.  We swam out there around an hour, where Madison continued her "Learn to Swim Tour 2014."  We hung out by the shallow end, Madison just barely above the water when she's on her feet.  She tried to see how far she could go without touching the bottom, but it's not so far yet.  We'll keep pushing that, of course.  She brought along pool noodles, which are great flotation devices - and great water shooters!  Madison loves putting her mouth up to one and spraying water through it, like an elephant with water blow darts.

We've been doing puzzles on the lanai, as the weather has been perfectly nice in the shade.  Actually, it was a bit overcast today, so it was even better.  No rain at all.  We sat and watched the golfers play as we did puzzles, and played a game of Scrabble.  We revisited Headbandz too, playing a round or two of that.

Madison had her first root beer float today, and she loved it.  We made a few of those after seeing that Nana had some root beer here, so soon enough we were all enjoying our floats, and getting back to the important business of not doing that much.

That is, until it was time for tennis.  Yes, when it was a little later we hit the tennis courts - and Madison could have stayed there all night.

Seriously, she was having the time of her life there, whacking tennis balls back over the net.  She's been really learning in her classes, and you can see her form and strides really developing.

We were all marveling at the improvement over the last year - and Madison was wanting to keep going on and on and on.  We were there about two hours!

When we were done, Madison squeezed into the golf cart with Nana and Ba-Ba, and soon we were back home.  It was a little later, but being that we were on vacation and today was the last full day, we thought we'd see "Frozen" one last time - Ba-Ba had never seen it before.  So Madison sat next to her grandparents on the couch, and once again we were watching that movie.

It was actually a nice day - a memorable one for sure.  The tennis was a big highlight, as Madison would launch balls over the net, shortly after telling Ba-Ba to "Set position!"  Tonight, we're "setting position" in bed though - it's late, and we'd better get some rest for the long journey home.
