Prince of Egypt

We dipped deeper into the Passover story today, as we watched the movie "The Prince of Egypt."  This was a better movie than I remember, actually.  We sat on the couch tonight, and watched this story from Exodus from slavery to the Red Sea.  The image above is one of the highlights of the movie, easily the most impressive version of that portion of the story, where the Red Sea parted for the Israelites.  Madison was very much into the movie, and of course had questions here and there.  And then when the movie was done, and it was time for bed, she was wanting Daddy to read from the book based on the movie that she just saw.  So you could say she was very much into this tonight.  So were we!

Today was Tuesday, which has come to mean a few things.  One tradition is Taco Tuesday.  Yes, we had tacos tonight - Madison ate two of them.  Daddy had three.  We were hungry, and Mommy did a great job putting everything out once more.  It was all waiting for us when we got back from piano practice.  Yes, that's back again - it's Tuesday, so therefore we were practicing on the piano.  We had a tiny bit of catching up to do, but that's because of Spring Break mostly.  But we'll be caught up by next week.  The big thing question now is what do I reward Madison with for doing her piano practice?  I've given her all but one of the Disney Infinity Power discs.  We'll cross that bridge when we get to it!

In the meantime, she was doing well with piano.  And she was doing really well at school:  she did great on her spelling test with words like "shark" and "share."  She also aced her subtraction test, which was all about subtracting the number five.  She's gotten some speech homework, but that's been few and far between lately.  Mommy and Daddy feel she needs further work in this area, so much that we'll be getting an app for our Kindle.  We can use that over the summer time, when the homework flow is a little slower.  HOWEVER, there are camps galore this summer:  from Summer Xtreme to ballet to tennis to art camp.  It'll be a busy summer!

But tonight it's Tuesday.  And that means "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Mommy and Daddy's latest addiction.  There are two episodes on tonight, and things have been really shaken up.  We're along for the ride, scratching our heads at all this HYDRA stuff that's going on.  It's probably related to the blood moon.
