Madison returned to court today - the tennis court. She was a bit rusty, but so were all the other players today, as it has been over a month since the last time we played tennis. Despite all of that, she could probably play really well against Daddy by now.
When Spring rolls around (Spring Rolls - that makes me hungry!), we'll get out to our neighborhood courts more for some practice, and just playing around. Right now, it's entirely too frigid by the time she's able to play.
Excalibur and the fast continue, and our Chinese New Year plans are starting to unfold, including the creation of our latest card for the year. Can't wait to see the collection of all 12 years in the Chinese New Year cycle, with one of each animal. This is the Year of the Horse upcoming, and things are falling into place for a fun one for Madison. Disney Movie Rewards had this Animator's Collection Doll - a Mulan - available, and Daddy had enough points for it! They didn't have any of the other dolls, and this one here was wiped out about a year ago. For some reason it has snuck on there and Daddy noticed, so I ordered one and will get it for free! Add that to the Mulan power disc and a book Mommy got her a few months ago, and we've got a nice little Chinese New Year collection. It's a special day because of our history together. Soon, we'll be watching all sorts of Chinese movies as well - ones for kids, of course. We'll have to wait until after the fast for that though, as Madison is making sure we remember she can't watch television. Just today, Daddy was telling her about "Mike's Car," this one Monsters, Inc. short that came out, and telling her he'd show it to her if she wanted. She simply replied, "No, I can't." Daddy was confused a moment, and then she reminded me, "I can't watch television." Then it sunk in! She's a good girl!
Daddy was at work for the most part. Long day. But coming home for dinner is always great, and Mommy has been cooking up some fast-friendly gems for us all to enjoy. Coming home is always a great experience, as Mommy makes it as nice as possible. And warm as possible. Madison always hides as soon as Daddy comes in the door - she runs to some place and then launches out with a "Boo!" And then a hug. It's a great thing, coming home.

DAY ELEVEN
Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all I need.” As you lean on God during this fast and seek Him first, remember all that He gives to you. Write down just a few of the things you have, and are grateful for.

The Bible says that if we humble ourselves, pray, and stop sinning, God will hear us and
heal our land. As you fast and turn towards God, write below your prayer for this country
you live in.

Read today’s Bible story in Matthew 9:1-8. After reading this passage, what did Jesus do
first before healing the man? Have you asked Jesus for forgiveness for the areas in your
life where you need help? Write down below some areas where you want to make yourself
better in the coming year.
