National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day

It's National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day today, so you can see Maddie is armed and ready to celebrate.  I had a game made up for her small group tonight, one that started today on Sunday in its first appearance since the move from Wednesday.

She enjoyed her time with small group tonight, and yes, she had an umbrella open inside.  Looking up the reason why this day is what it is, apparently the overview is that it's a day to test out superstitious beliefs and so forth.  As to why people think it's bad luck to open an umbrella inside your house, this was an interesting quote I just found:

There is some suggestion that ancient Egyptians thought it offended the gods to open an umbrella where there was already shade.

So there you go.  Not entirely sure if it's true, but the entire thing sounds odd to begin with, so why not?

Anyway, it was a fun day today - we had our wrap-up to our "Get a Clue" story this morning with two fantastic skits.  These involved all our younger actors too, including Maddie of course, and it was just a fun morning and a really great ongoing series.  We had so much fun these last eight weeks with this story, with such a talented cast.

We did a tiny bit of grocery shopping, and yes, there were still a few items on the list that weren't available because of supply chain issues.  But we stopped by for some bubble tea, and then headed home for a nice lunch with Nana and Mom, who were already working on Easter costumes for apostles.  There was a spaghetti break, and after that some studying for Maddie.  But there was also time for "Battlefront II" as well.  We went back to Hoth, and after watching "Episode III" last night, we were back on Mustafar as well.  So there was a little time for fun too.

We closed out the day with a few more chapters of Kingdom Keepers, and then prayers as well.  I was watching "Lincoln" today, part of this big history push of late.  Maddie was in bed at that time, off to sleep on time so she can get up early for school again tomorrow.
