Back to the Ol' Grind!

Monday came and went.  Maddie was back to school, and it was sort of a "hit the ground running" sort of moment today, and she's certainly stressed about catching up.  But it was all worth it because a few days ago you were in Galaxy's Edge, right?

We had taekwondo tonight, so we were back there again after a full week's absence.  While Maddie was kicking people, we were getting important groceries.  No chicken again.  How is it that we're in the "Chicken Capital of the World," and we can't find chicken?  At least we can find Lucky Charms, right?  Because it's March, and you must have Lucky Charms.

We're still struggling to find things at the grocery stores and the gas prices are epic, the highest prices there have ever been.  They were abnormally high before this business in Eastern Europe, so we can't blame Russia for that.  Inflation is at a 40 year high, and our nation is a serious pickle again.

While Maddie was back at school, we were in the back yard getting the leaves moved off and planting some new azaleas.  The bluebirds are really moving into our church bird house, and that's exciting to see.  Momma bird is up at the feeder a lot, and she's drinking the water for long periods of time, something like twenty minutes straight.

I've been keeping up with my walks, mostly, and listening to this podcast as I march along.  The latest one has been super interesting, one called "Constitutional," which is of course all about the Constitution.  It's not like it goes by each amendment in order, instead hopping around, but some of the stories have been interesting and I'm learning quite a bit.

Maddie was studying tonight and cleaning up after taekwondo, so we weren't watching much online.  At least Maddie wasn't.  We were watching the Paralympics, and watching some ice hockey, where USA is doing pretty good.  Wheelchair curling has been pretty interesting to watch too.

We read tonight, and we prayed too.  It was certainly a quiet day compared to those recent.  But that's okay.
